Built in Canada, for Canadian community pharmacy.
MedMe Health is the pharmacy AI platform built for Canadian community pharmacy. Trusted by 7,500+ pharmacies coast to coast and partnered with the country's largest banners β Loblaw, Costco, Pharmasave, Sobeys, and Rexall β we exist to give pharmacists their full clinical scope back.
To foster truly proactive, preventative, and personalized care.
The vast majority of patient interactions in healthcare don't happen in a clinic β they happen at a pharmacy counter. Pharmacists already do this work: triaging symptoms, counseling on side effects, coordinating refills, watching for drug interactions, administering vaccines, prescribing for minor ailments. The gap has never been clinical. The gap has been infrastructure β the systems that let that work be documented, billed under provincial frameworks, and recognized as the clinical care it already is.
MedMe is that infrastructure. Built specifically for Canadian community pharmacy, with privacy and data residency designed to Canadian standards from day one. Province-aware on every workflow. Compatible with every major dispensing system β Kroll, Nexxsys, Healthwatch, FillWare, PharmaClik β without forcing operators to rip and replace.
Started in a pharmacy. Built with Canadian operators.
MedMe was founded in 2018 by two Canadian pharmacists who'd watched colleagues do excellent clinical work that no Canadian system could capture, no payer could see, and no patient ever heard about beyond the counter.
The first version of MedMe ran in a single pharmacy in Etobicoke. The second version ran in seven pharmacies across the GTA. By 2021 we were across two provinces. By 2023, we were powering vaccination workflows for Canada's largest banners during a public-health stretch that demanded software pharmacists could actually trust.
Today MedMe powers clinical-services workflows in 7,500+ Canadian pharmacies β independent operators, regional multi-store groups, and the country's largest banner partners. We integrate (without rip-and-replace) with Kroll, Nexxsys, Healthwatch, FillWare, and PharmaClik. We support pharmacist scope of practice in every province. Roughly half our headcount is pharmacists. Almost all our product decisions get pressure-tested by the pharmacy council we've built across Canadian provincial regulators, banner clinical leads, and operators we trust.
We're headquartered in Toronto and remote-first across Canada, with team members from Vancouver to Halifax. Our policy team works closely with the provincial regulatory colleges and the Canadian Pharmacists Association. We host the annual Canadian Pharmacy Operators summit each fall.
The country's largest pharmacy banners run on MedMe.
Active deployments and ongoing pilots with Canada's largest pharmacy networks.
Four principles that shape what we build.
Pharmacy is a clinical care setting, not just a dispensing point.
Every system decision starts here. Pharmacists provide care β minor ailments prescribing, MedsCheck, vaccines, travel health, smoking cessation, OAT β and the platform should reflect that. Generic ambulatory tools and dispensing-system add-ons get this wrong by default.
Canadian privacy is non-negotiable.
All patient data stays in Canada. Compliant with PIPEDA, PHIPA (Ontario), HIA (Alberta), and the equivalents in every province we operate in. We don't qualify this β Canadian customer data has Canadian residency, full stop.
AI in pharmacy must clear a higher bar.
Clinical workflows are not search results. We ship AI features only when we can show, on real customer data, that they make pharmacist time more clinical β not when a demo looks cool. Admin Clerk and AI Scribe are deployed in 7,500+ pharmacies; both shipped only after pharmacist-led validation.
Operators are the experts. Listen.
Best feedback we ever get is from pharmacy operators who say something doesn't work in their workflow. Our pharmacy council exists because the next best feature is usually the next operator-surfaced friction. Most of what's in MedMe today started as an operator complaint.
Pharmacists, operators, builders.
